Bob Newhart, the deadpan star of “The Bob Newhart” show, has passed away at the age of 94. The news of Newhart’s passing was announced by his longtime publicist Jerry Digney.

George Robert Newhart was born on September 5, 1929 in Oak Park, Illinois. The young Newhart was raised Roman Catholic, with his sister Mary Joan becoming a nun later in life. He enrolled at Loyola University of Chicago and graduated with a bachelor’s in business management in 1952. He was drafted into the Army and served in the Korean War until 1954. He attended Loyola University’s law school for a time but later dropped out. Newhart then worked as a clerk in an unemployment office and as an accountant.

In 1958, he took to being an advertising copywriter for a prominent Chicago film and television producer. In his free time he’d record scenarios and skits he’d utilize as audition tapes.

Some said the voiceover was anti-cinematic, and it was Scorsese (among others) who denied it film after film. This Big George Foreman wants to have a lot of Scorsese without achieving his pace, effectiveness and, above all, grace, and narrative freshness.

Big George Foreman is a film that resorts, at all times, to the obvious, to direct compassion, to that piece of American History a thousand times told in a thousand better ways and with more elaborate plots and less flat characters and, in the end, with more to say.

The latest addition to Taylor Sheridan’s expanding “Yellowstone” universe, “1923,” brings us a new generation of Duttons played by movie royalty: Harrison Ford, in his first TV series ever, and Oscar-winner Helen Mirren.

Also among the cast is former 007 (and “Penny Dreadful”) star Timothy Dalton and Robert Patrick of “Terminator 2” and “Peacemaker.”

At first, the answer was both. “1923” is a Paramount+ original but the first episode also aired on Paramount Network after “Yellowstone.”

Now, though, the only way to watch new episodes of “1923” is to subscribe to Paramount+.

Jennifer Ehle has joined the cast of the Paramount+ series 1923.

She will portray Sister Mary, an Irish nun who teaches at the school for American Indians in Montana that Teonna Rainwater (Amineh Nieves) attends. As prreviously announced, Sebastian Roché plays the headmaster of the school, Father Renaud.

The new installment of the Taylor Sheridan franchise will introduce a new generation of the Dutton family before the events of Yellowstone and explore the early 20th century when pandemics, historic drought, the end of Prohibition and the Great Depression all plague the Mountain West, and the Duttons who call it home.

The cast, led by Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren, also includes James Badge Dale, Brandon Sklenar, Robert Patrick, Darren Mann, Michelle Randolph, Marley Shelton, Brian Geraghty and Julia Schlaepfer.

1923 is currently in production in Montana and will debut on Paramount+ in December 2022.
