Derrick is an artist at heart and by the end of university he'd won a string of citations in writing, design, architecture, singing and acting. Educated at Yale, Georgetown, The Shakespeare Theatre Company, UCB, ComedySportz, PIT, The Second City & The National Theater Institute, led to performing on stage at The Kennedy Center, prime time TV, soaps, Off Broadway, major hit films and starring in many Indie films.
He was put on pause while healing from deadly accidents. After these life-changing events he re-launched his acting career in 2015. Derrick starred in 9 indie/feature films in a very short time frame, wrote & filmed a short, cast-funded-produced films and had a blast doing an Off-Broadway play, which also went to Philly.
