Kate Moran(II)

A cult figure in auteur work, Kate Moran has been living and working in Paris and New York since receiving her BFA in acting at the conservatory Tisch School of the Arts, New York University.
She has worked with Yann Gonzalez since his first short film. The film maker has written roles specifically for Kate in three short films, as well as his first feature You and the Night (2013), which premiered at the Cannes Film Festival and his second Knife + Heart, starring opposite Vanessa Paradis and Nicolas Maury. The film was in competition at the Cannes Film Festival in 2018.
Her encounter with Rebecca Zlotowski led to the two writing their first theatre piece together, Contrechamp, which premiered at the Festival d'Avignon in 2015 and Kate starred in Rebecca's film for the Opera de Paris, 3eme scene entitled 09/06/2015, as well as making an appearance in The Summoning (2016). She has collaborated on various projects with Bertrand Bonello, including his exhibition at the Pompidou Center in Paris, an adaption of the cult classic Rose Poussiere by Jean-Jacques Schuhl, and his film Saint Laurent (2014).
One of her most iconoclastic role's was in Philip Glass and Robert Wilson 's opera, Einstein on the Beach. Created in 1976, it was remounted by Glass and Wilson in 2012 and spent over three years touring worldwide. Kate was cast in the lead role originated by Lucinda Childs.
