Born in Kansas City, Missouri, Jeremy Scott set out to change the fashion and design world. In1996, he graduated from the Pratt Institute with a degree in Fashion Design and immediately relocated to Paris, debuting his signature Jeremy Scott brand in a much-heralded presentation in 1997. Over the next five years he launched the modeling career of Devon Aoki; collaborated with Christian Louboutin and Stephen Jones on accessories for his runway shows; received accolades from Karl Lagerfeld; and was presented the 1996 and 1997 Venus de la Mode Award for Best New Designer. In 1999, he was nominated for Best Young Designer by the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA).
In 2002, Jeremy Scott returned to the United States, made Los Angeles his home and the City of Angels hasn't stopped inspiring his work since. In the subsequent years his iconic designs were embraced by musical talent such as A$AP Rocky, Ariana Grande, Billie Eilish, Björk, Cardi B, Dua Lipa, Gwen Stefani, Kacey Musgraves, Katy Perry, Lizzo, Madonna, Maluma, Miley Cyrus, Nicki Minaj, Rihanna and Rosalia. His unmistakable works are also donned by Evan Rachel Woods, Priyanka Chopra, Cynthia Erivo and Zendaya on countless red carpets as well as featured in the 2019 "Camp" Costume Institute Exhibit curated by Head Curator of the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute Andrew Bolton and Gala hosted by renowned Vogue editor in chief, Anna Wintour.
Jeremy Scott is a pop icon himself and has created a powerful fashion sensibility recognized the world over. In 2002, he announced a partnership with Adidas; launching the Jeremy Scott for Adidas collection of apparel and footwear in 2008; with campaigns starring Katy Perry and Nicki Minaj. In 2006, he began his long standing relationship with Longchamp, releasing a signature printed "Le Pliage" bag each season. In 2010 and 2011, he created two series of watches for Swatch, that were heralded by a large-scale billboard in Times Square. In 2012, he debuted a limited-edition Smart Car redesigned with his signature wings. In October 2013 Jeremy Scott was named the Creative Director of the Italian luxury brand, Moschino. During his ongoing tenure at the storied house, he introduced memorable collaborations with Mattel's Barbie, H&M, Sephora, Candy Crush, Ciroc, Magnum Ice Cream and in 2015, he redesigned MTV's iconic Moonman award for the annual Video Music Awards.
