Two years on from the third and final series, formidable family lawyer Hannah Defoe (Nicola Walker) and her family are back and have gathered for a beautiful wedding at a magnificent vineyard, nestled in Catalonia’s wine region. Julia Garner might still be portraying the Material Girl Madonna in the future, but for now, she’s telling a different sort of origin story. In Natalie Erika James’ “Rosemary’s Baby” prequel, Garner leads a psychological thriller set in the haunted New York City apartment building that Roman Polanski made iconic in his 1968 horror classic.

Titled “Apartment 7A,” the Paramount+ feature takes place in 1965, prior to Polanski’s legendary horror classic “Rosemary’s Baby,” and explores what happened in the infamous Bramford Building before Rosemary moved in.

Apartment 7A, a prequel to the 1968 psychological horror film Rosemary’s Baby, has scared up a pre-Halloween release date, exclusively on Paramount+.

The Julia Garner-led flick will drop Friday, Sept. 27, the streamer announced Wednesday.

Two years have gone by since a psychological thriller called Apartment 7A – which Relic (watch it Here) director Natalie Erika James helmed for Paramount Players and A Quiet Place collaborators Platinum Dunes and John Krasinski – wrapped filming. Soon after filming came to an end, rumors began to circulate that Apartment 7A was secretly a prequel to the 1968 classic Rosemary’s Baby… and sure enough, that’s exactly what the movie is. It’s set to receive a Paramount+ release in the U.S. and in select international markets sometime at the start of the Halloween season, and while we wait to find out the exact release date and look forward to seeing the marketing, the Motion Picture Association ratings board has revealed that they have given the movie an R rating. The reason for this R: some violent content and drug use.

Amazon MGM Studios’ “Three Bags Full: A Sheep Detective Movie” has started principal photography and landed a worldwide theatrical release date of Feb. 20, 2026.

If the secret is not exposed thousands of lives will be potentially in danger.

While The Veil is starting slowly, it doesn’t mean it is not building up to something incredibly thrilling and intensely dramatic. Julia Garner has been tapped to star in a prequel to the 1968 classic horror film Rosemary’s Baby titled Apartment 7A.

The psychological thriller was directed by Natalie Erika James (Relic), who also co-wrote the script with Christian White and Skylar James. It will premiere exclusively on Paramount+ before Halloween.

According to the official logline, the film will take place in 1965 New York City and tell the story of what happened before Rosemary moved into the titular apartment. “When a struggling, young dancer suffers a devastating injury, she finds herself drawn in by dark forces when a peculiar, well-connected, older couple promises her a shot at fame,” the description reads.
