Michelle is currently a Co-Founder at Southeast Asia's only Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos certified facility, Mocha Chai Laboratories. Over her 20-year career, she has built a far-reaching network of regional content providers, studio executives, actors, writers, directors and journalists to create content and marketing campaigns. She has greenlit and created original programming - Drama, Reality, "Live" and even Sports events for Over-The-Top (OTT) and Free-To-Air (FTA) platforms. Some of her high-profile and award-winning shows include Masterchef Singapore, The Noose, Lion Mums, Code of Law, Singapore Idol, etc. Michelle was previously leading programming and content development at MeWatch, Channel 5, okto and English radio at Mediacorp Singapore. Her hands-on approach from concept ideation to business development right through to marketing is key to her success.
She is also a Marketing specialist and has helmed campaigns for the National Gallery Singapore and National University of Singapore's Centre For the Arts. Armed with an intimate understanding of her audience through research and analytics, she is able to better target her consumers by seeding narratives in content and marketing campaigns.
Her experience and know-how has seen her moderating at the Singapore International Film Festival and ScreenSingapore. She also judged at the Asian TV Forum & Market (now known as Asian Academy Creative Awards) and the National Arts Council's Production Grant.
Michelle's creative pursuits extends beyond the screens; she has exhibited her pointillist art - of more than 100 paintings - for over a decade in Singapore, Hong Kong and South Korea. As an artist and a professional in show business, she advocates the mutual influence of one over the other and believes in creating and producing timeless stories with a unique sculpting of the telling for today's astute audience.
