As you can probably tell just from the title, The Last Kumite was inspired by 80s action films, the iconic Bloodsport in particular. And it opens like it stepped out of a time warp from the 1980s with an old-school pop song playing over a montage of scenes shot on the streets of New York City before taking us to the dojo where Michael Rivers is teaching his daughter Bree (Kira Kortenbach).
After an inspirational speech at the end of her training, it’s time to go see Mom. If you guessed that means a trip to the cemetery, you’ve seen as many of these films as I have.

Before watching The Last Kumite by Ross W. Clarkson, I didn’t have any prior knowledge about kumite, but as I got to know about it, it seemed very interesting. Just to give you an idea, it’s a kind of karate technique. The story revolves around a father-daughter duo who are forcibly trapped in the world of Kumite by a vile person named Ron Hall. The father, Michael Rivers, is a renowned fighter, and to get him into the kumite game, Ron Hall literally abducted his daughter, Bree Rivers, so he had to participate in the tournament. But as he went there, he realized he was not alone. There are many others who suffered the same fate as Michael and have been prey to Ron’s tactics. And it’s not a joke; they are really going to be prey to none other than Dracko, the all-time champion, because...

If you love action classics like Kickboxer and Bloodsport, a whole host of 80s and 90s martial arts superstars return to the screen in the action thriller The Last Kumite, coming to Blu-ray, DVD, and 4K Uhd/Bd Steelbook, as well as digital platforms in the UK and Ireland from 13th May… And I’ve got my pre-order in already!
When Karate champion Michael Rivers (Mathis Landwehr) wins the last tournament of his career, shady businessman Ron Hall (Matthias Hues) offers him the opportunity to fight in an illegal, deadly Kumite in Bulgaria with the world’s best martial artists. Michael declines, only to find out later that his daughter Bree has been kidnapped and that in order to rescue her, he is left with no other option but to fight in the deadly tournament. When he finally gets to Bulgaria, he finds out that he is not the only...

With multiple seasons under its belt, Love Island UK has been a go-to reality TV staple in the United Kingdom, and it's time to rank its many installments. The series was revived after it first aired with celebrities back in 2005. Now, the new generation of islanders is making the most out of their time. They're flirting, kissing, and tanning.
Love Island UK has a simple premise, place together a few hot islanders in a stunning villa and let the sparks fly. Love Island UK season 10 is currently airing with a fresh new group having entered the villa. The summer of love is rearing up with none of the gorgeous singletons wanting to go home without the £50,000 prize pot. In March, Kai Fagan and Sanam Harrinanan were declared winners of the winter edition, with viewers excited about who will take over the Mallorca mansion. Since its premiere in 2015, Love Island has produced couples who have stayed together after leaving the villa. When Love Island premiered on ITV2 in June 2015, fans didn't know what to make of the show's fresh plot. The British dating show featured hot singles in their 20s who have to spend several weeks in a luxury villa and are tasked to find love while performing a series of challenges. After eight weeks in the villa, the public votes for their favorite couple and who they want to walk away with the grand prize of $50,000.
The most recent Winter edition ended two months ago and saw Kai Fagan and Sanam Harrinanan walk away with the grand prize. This Love Island season was also the first time a Casa Amor contestant would win the show, as the genuine love on display from Kai and Sanam utterly blew viewers away. However, they aren't the...

On the finale, Maya announced that Kai Fagan and Sanam Harrinanan won the £50,000 prize. According to ITV's voting percentages, Kai and Sanam received 44-percent, less than the overwhelming lead of last year's winners Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu and Davide Sanclimenti.

The social worker and teacher beat out competition from fellow finalists Samie Elishi and Tom Clare, Tanya Mahenga and Shaq Muhammad and Lana Jenkins and Ron Hall.
Sanam is the first ever Casa Amor contestant to have won the series.
Host Maya Jama, who took over from Laura Whitmore this season, was in South Africa to announce the winners.
The two chose to share the £50,000 prize after being given the option to steal it for themselves.
“I can’t believe it, I’m still shocked to even be here,” Sanam told Jama.
Shaq and Tanya were the first finalists to go. “When I first saw her, she looked incredible. And the more I got to know her, I fell for her so quickly,” Shaq told Jama.

Love Island UK season 9 is now available in the US via Hulu, but American fans wish they weren't so behind on the episodes. The season premiered in the UK on January 16th and introduced 10 new islanders to a South African villa. This season is the first time the series has aired in the winter since 2020. Former host Laura Whitmore has departed the show, and Maya Jama has taken over. Luckily, Iain Stirling, who's been narrating the series since season 1, has returned, putting his witty sense of humor to work. American fans waited impatiently, but as of January 30th, the season is finally streaming on Hulu.
Unfortunately, Love Island UK only airs one episode a day on Hulu, and American fans are angry that they are so behind on the season while UK fans are watching in real time.

The popular reality dating show Love Island is back for its 9th season. According to the cast's introduction bios (via RadioTimes), they are all hoping they will find love in the villa and this season Love Island is implementing a social media ban. Since the cast rotates people in and out, the islanders who start the season have to grab the viewers' attention. It is the best-case scenario for the producers that each of the cast members who start the season has a large social media following.
If the islanders have more followers, then they will bring more viewers to the show. In a few cast members' cases, their jobs revolve around their social media pages, so they pay constant attention to theirs. Each cast member has an impressive amount of followers, but some of the day 1 cast have more followers than others.

Carol Vorderman has opened up about her romantic life and shared advice for dating multiple people at one time.
The 62-year-old former Countdown host appeared on Monday’s instalment of This Morning (23 January), explaining that she is single but has “special friends” who she is romantically involved with.
Earlier this month, Vorderman previously revealed to This Morning‘s Alison Hammond and Dermot O’Leary that she had five special friends. The star returned to screens on Tuesday to discuss her approach further and offer up advice to viewers.
Vorderman explained to hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield that everyone involved needs to be single, which is a “critical part” of the arrangement. Explaining how she met her “special friends”, she said: “It’s come about naturally and I don’t want to settle with anyone.”
Vorderman revealed that she has known those involved for several years, one of which she has been friends with for 11 years.
