Oscar-nominated actress Felicity Jones tied the knot with movie director Charles Guard on Saturday in a romantic wedding in the English countryside. The couple have been quietly dating for the past three years, and Felicity first showed off her engagement ring a year ago, when she attended Glamour's Women of the Year Awards.
The wedding took place at Sudeley Castle in Gloucestershire, about an hour away from Felicity's childhood home of Bournville (the home of Cadbury's chocolate). Felicity wore a white dress with a high ruffled neckline and long sleeves in sheer fabric with a matching veil. Like many modern brides, she apparently broke tradition to make a speech at the reception. It's reported that guests on the big day included Felicity's The Theory of Everything costar Eddie Redmayne and his wife Hannah, as well as Tom Hanks, who she starred alongside in Inferno.

We’re used to doing double takes when Felicity Jones hits the carpet (she consistently picks head-turning gowns), but for her look at Glamour UK‘s Women of the Year Awards in London, it was her blinding new bling that first caught our attention.

To debut the ring, she stuck to her signature aesthetic in a romantic halter-style ball gown with elaborate ruffle detail along the bodice and neckline.

After the BAFTA Awards, that’s when the party really starts.
Following the awards ceremony, a slew of stars kept the celebration going at the Weinstein afterparty in London. Viola Davis, Amy Adams, Felicity Jones, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Dev Patel and more attended the star-studded bash.
And after about 30 minutes of mingling, the stars hit the dance floor. Jones danced it up with boyfriend Charles Guard, and Taylor-Johnson got close with his wife, director Sam Taylor-Johnson, while busting a move.
But it was Adams who stole the show, dancing wildly with a group of friends in the middle of the dance floor.

It turned out that there were no known 35mm prints of the film, though this scribe swears that the Film Forum in New York City showed it years ago. The mix-up turned out to be fortuitous as Universal created a new print of the film and it was screened Saturday night. Credit must be given to Paul Ginsburg, Vice President of NBC Universal Distribution, for ordering the new print struck (interestingly, the...

Although it is light on scares, The Uninvited manages to entertain thanks to a twist ending that you might not see coming. The PG-13 rating keeps the film.s thrills light, but the plot will hold your interest . even if it is safe to watch with the lights off. The Uninvited was directed by Charles Guard and Thomas Guard and was written by Craig Rosenberg, Doug Miro, and Carlo Bernard. It is based on Ji-woon Kim's film "Changhwa, Hongryon." The Hollywood version stars Emily Browning, Arielle Kebbel, David Strathairn, and Elizabeth Banks. The film opens with Browning.s character Anna in the mental hospital following an attempted suicide after her mother died. Her mother (Maya Massar) had been suffering from...

The players: Director: Jonas Elmer, Charles Guard, Writers: C. Jay Cox, Ken Rance, Cast: Renee Zellweger, Harry Connick Jr., J. K. Simmons, Siobhan Fallon Hogan, Frances Conroy
Facts of interest: None whatsoever.
The plot: A Florida businesswoman's stay in a small Minnesota town changes for the better when she falls in love with the local labor union rep.
Our thoughts: In Jonas Elmer’s “New in Town,” Renee Zellweger plays Lucy Hill, a successful Miami consultant whose life takes a drastic turn when she’s sent to a small Minnesota town to oversee the restructuring of a manufacturing plant. Lucy really despises the place and its inhabitants at first, but once she gets better acquainted with a local labor union rep (Harry Connick Jr.), things change quicker than she could have ever imagined…...

The plot: Two sisters try everything they can to convince their father that his new girlfriend is not the person she pretends to be.
Our thoughts: Charles and Thomas Guard’s “The Uninvited” is yet another lame, unnecessary horror remake that lacks suspense and falls victim to a nearly disastrous script. No matter how bad these flicks are, they just keep coming, and it’s annoying me now more than ever.

Oh, for some kick-ass movie ghosts. I’m talking kick-ass on a Dickensian level. The spectres of three sad-faced little kids -- a redhaired girl and, we presume, her two younger brothers -- wander around The Uninvited, making moon-faces at poor Anna, who’s just returned home from a psychiatric facility and is not coping well with her reemergence into real life. What the little monsters are up to is a mystery for a long time, but long before the ultimately nonsensical reveal, I finally realized who those kids are. They were merely waiting for a stern Ghost of Horror Movies Present to come out and address the filmmakers: “This boy is Plot,” he might say to screenwriters Craig Rosenberg (After the Sunset), Doug Miro (The Great Raid), and Carlo Bernard (The Great Raid), his hand kindly on the head one of the little wretches. “This boy is Character,” he...

Three distinct genres try their luck. After debuting earlier this year in France, 20th Century Fox finally releases the eagerly anticipated crime actioner "Taken" on January 30th. The intense film is helmed by Pierre Morel, known for the indie gem "District B13" and helmer of the upcoming "From Paris with Love" starring John Travolta and Jonathan Rhys Meyers. "Taken" stars Liam Neeson, Maggie Grace, Famke Janssen and Jon Gries and is written by Luc Besson and Robert Mark Kamen. What's it about? “I don’t know you who you are. I don’t know what you want. If you’re looking for a ransom, I can tell you, I don’t have money. But what I do have are a very particular set of skills acquired over a very long career in the shadows, skills that make me a nightmare for people like you. If you let my daughter go now,...

On set interview with directors Thomas Guard and Charles Guard while visiting the filming of The Uninvited in Vancouver.
{sidebar id=1}Q: How influential is the original movie?
Thomas Guard: That's good question. But we're very influenced by that Asian terror, but we kind of just see it through our end, kind of, our insensibilities. So, we don.t feel that we're kind of moving away from it too much. I mean, it's very implied. And a lot of it is in the faces of the characters and the anticipation of things. And we're really into that. So, we're hoping to, I mean, we hope that there'll be a bridge actually, perhaps between a Western sensibility and an Asian one in this...

We're on Bowen Island, just off of Vancouver, British Columbia in a very balmy and gorgeous August 2007 to visit the set of the American version of A Tale of Two Sisters called The Uninvited . The original 2003 Korean film, a bloody and confusing pseudo-fairytale about nightmarish family relations and a young girl terrified by her new stepmother, was directed by Ji-Woon Kim and was a sensation among J and Asian horror fans in the Western World. The secluded island is the perfect place to shoot a horror film. The roads are narrow and unlit by light posts, the houses are few and far between. And the mansion in which The Uninvited is being shot by brothers Thomas and Charles Guard is an amazingly large and fascinating one that has been completely gone over by art director Andrew...

There is one good reason to watch this trailer for The Uninvited: the beautiful Arielle Kebbel in a bikini! Other than that, this is a typical horror movie about ghosts haunting a big house. Maybe I'm just not a horror movie guy, but The Uninvited looks as uninteresting as the title suggests. And that may be because it is a remake of another Korean horror movie. Thankfully I'm not invited to any screenings and can easily forget about it. In addition to Kebbel, it also stars Elizabeth Banks and Emily Browning. If you're a horror movie fan or otherwise have some sort of fascination with ghosts, then be sure to check out this trailer.
