As James Caan's (Sonny Corleone's) cheated-on wife in The Godfather

Graduated from the University of Southern California, where she received a music scholarship.

Her acting mentor was Jackie Cooper. In her early 20s she met him when he was the president of program development at Screen Gems, years before she co-starred opposite him on Mobile One (1975).

She played Sandra Corelone in "The Godfather" (1972) and repeated the role in "Godfather II" (1974), but her scene was cut. It was, however, restored when the two films were combined into "The Godfather Saga" (1977).

She did her own singing as Antonia in the film version of the "Man of La Mancha" (1972) and was trained in music, having attended the University of California on a music scholarship.
