Then they had a hamburger and Coke, talked about baseball and the snow in New Jersey, and father and son were on their way toward rebuilding their relationship. Can you imagine if your son was taken from you? David Goldman has been living this nightmare for the last five years. But, just in time for Christmas 2009, father and son were reunited at long last on Dec. 24.

The very public, international saga began in 2004, when David Goldman’s wife, Bruna Bianchi, took their son, Sean, to her native country of Brazil for a vacation. She then divorced David and re-married a prominent Brazilian lawyer, refusing to send Sean back to the United States. David fought, but ultimately lost the case.
