- Was active in charities, and the night before she died she was working with homeless women at the Los Angeles Mission, where she served on a celebrity volunteer committee.
- Frann died on September 23, 1998 in her sleep. She was found dead by her fiancé, John E. Cookman Jr. She had previously been diagnosed with cardiac arrhythmia but autopsy results determined she had also suffered from an undiagnosed condition, lipomatosis with fibrosis (scarring of the heart muscle tissue).

- On September 26, 1998, three days after her death, Frann's personal and professional lives were eulogized at Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Beverly Hills, California. The funeral was attended by family, friends, and colleagues.
- Lost the role of Sue Ellen Ewing to Linda Gray on Dallas (1978).
- Is buried at the Holy Cross Cemetery, in Culver City, California.
- Her last acting role came in an episode of the series Beyond Belief: Fact or Fiction. Due to the sporadic airing of the series, the episode she was in, "The Curse of Hampton Manor", aired two years after her death.
- Had 2 sisters, Patricia Ann Sauve and Jacquie Melnick, and a brother, Harry John Luecke III, all of Los Angeles.
- Was the daughter of Harry Joseph Luecke Jr., a Navy veteran who served in World War II and who died in 1988, and Adele Katherine Mcquade Luecke, who died in 1991. She was raised Irish Catholic.
- Did not have any children.
- Born in St. Louis, Frann was a child model and appeared in commercials for a local television station while she attended Nerinx Hall High School. At the age of 18, she was voted Missouri's "Junior Miss".
