Gremlins: Secrets of the Mogwai (May 23, Max)

Gremlins: Secrets of the Mogwai
I have never seen the Gremlins movie, but I know that gremlins smell bad and want to eat us. Just watching five minutes of Gremlins: Secrets of the Mogwai, I think it is already a really good TV show.
The show is 25 percent happy, 25 percent sad, 25 percent funny, and 25 percent disgusting. The disgusting parts are when fingers come off. It’s about a kid, Sam (Izaac Wang), who says, “I have no faith in myself. I can’t do it.” He has to hide this gremlin named Gizmo, who is so cute, and return it to its home. He finds this girl, Elle (Gabrielle Nevaeh Green), and they go on a big adventure to find its home. He’s kind of like a goody-two-shoes and the...

I am decades away from the target audience for the just-released Krypto the Superdog: the Complete Series. Ever since the Canine of Steel arrived in 1955, he has been a popular supporting player, and with all-things super-heroic now part of the pop culture zeitgeist, it made perfect sense to give him a series for the younger side of the television demographic.
All 39 episodes of the 2005 series are presented here, adapted by producer Chris Mitchell. Joining Krypto (voiced by Sam Vincent) on his crimefighting adventures are Streaky (Brian Drummond), Supergirl’s pet cat, and Ace the Bathound (Scott McNeil). They even created Stretch-o-Mutt (Lee Tockar) to round things out. And if there are going to be animal heroes, there have to be animal villains, who happen to include the pets of Lex Luthor (Brian Dobson) and Catwoman. When things look dire, they can count on help from the Dog Star Patrol.

White Ninja, the animated web series starring The League’s Paul Scheer, is headed to the mobile app Toonstar for its second season.
Based on the original strip created by Scott Bevan and Kent Earle, White Ninja debuted in 2015 as a narrative series on Vine. The series won acclaim for delivering high-quality, bite-size content. Following the demise of Vine, White Ninja found a new home on Toonstar, an app designed to deliver quick bursts of animated entertainment.
“What we really focus on is snackable, shareable episodic,” said Toonstar CEO John Attanasio.
Scheer, who recurs on ABC’s Fresh Off the Boat and recently appeared in The Disaster Artist and HBO’s Veep, is joined by Kathleen Barr, Brian Drummond, Shannon Chan Kent, and David A. Kaye, who voice...

Paul Scheer will lend his voice talents to an upcoming animated series created for exclusive release on Vine. The actor has signed on to the web series White Ninja, set to debut on December 5, 2015.
The White Ninja Vine series is based on a web comic by the same title, which released strips on Cracked.com until August 2013 when the comic went on an undefined hiatus. Scheer, known for his work on shows such as FX’s The League and Hulu’s Hotwives of Las Vegas, will voice White Ninja’s titular character, who is described in a release as “intellectually restricted and, apparently, pain impervious.” White Ninja’s voice cast also includes Kathleen Barr (Ed, Edd n’ Eddy), Shannon Chan-Kent (Littlest Pet Shop, My Little Pony), Brian Drummond (Inspector Gadget, DragonBallZ), and David A. Kaye (Make Way for Noddy, X-Men Evolution).
Six Vine stars have also joined the White Ninja project as directors.

Conceived as a tie-in to the re-branded Lego range of Star Wars playsets, Lego Star Wars: The Yoda Chronicles features two more totally brand-new and 100% original 22 minute specials – this time based on George Lucas’ god-awful prequels, namely episodes one and two, and the adventures of Anakin, Obi-Wan Yoda and Mace Windu as they take on the evil Darth Sidious, Count Dooku and General Grevious.
In Episode I: The Phantom Clone, the action-packed adventure begins when Darth Sidious unveils his plan to create a new super-weapon — an enhanced Sith clone named Jek-14 — to help him defeat the Republic once and for all. It’s up to Jedi Master Yoda and his young Padawan students to work together and save the galaxy.

The Inhumans were one of the last great creations by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby. Beginning with Medusa, introduced in Fantastic Four #36 in 1965, the full complement showed up nine months later. They were another branch of humanity, although it was a long time before readers learned the full story, especially as succeeding writers found new ways to tie them in to the evolving Marvel Universe cosmology. They were a fascinating, colorful bunch but each time they received their own series, it never quite caught on. Still, that hasn’t stopped people from trying, including Paul Jenkins who brought a radical approach to the race for the fourth attempt in 2003. His twelve issue maxiseries was drawn by Jae Lee, propelling him into the spotlight.
