Ariana Madix Attempted To Do Away With This Love Island Staple
She may have only appeared at very pivotal moments of Love Island USA but Ariana Madix was well aware of everything that was going on in Season 6. There were couplings, recouplings, breakdowns, happiness, hookups, and Casa Amor. It was a very interesting summer and her first as host of the smash hit Peacock reality series. More so, this was one of Ariana’s favorite shows of all time and to get to be a part of it was unreal. That being said, she recently sat down to chat about one...

Tracy Chapman was one of the most influential artists of the latter 20th century. The folk singer, who first rose to prominence with her self-titled debut album in 1988, has penned generation-defining hits like “Give Me One Reason” and “Fast Car.” The latter recently had a resurgence due to a cover by country singer Luke Combs, which managed to out-peak the original and rise up to number-two on the Billboard Hot 100 for multiple weeks. “Fast Car’s” rediscovery is proof that Chapman has always been one of music’s greats, but the industry has always loved her. Back when she debuted, she earned six Grammy nominations and won three, including the coveted Best New Artist award.

Chapman’s road to Bna glory was relatively smooth. When her debut album came out it got rave reviews, praising her storytelling the most.

Back at the beginning of July in the daily Briefs, I started the Official snicks Top 100 Lost Hits of The 80's, spotlighting the 100 greatest minor hits of that decade. The songs you don't hear on any 80's nostalgia show. Songs that missed the top ten, or top twenty ... or top forty, and over the last five months I hope some of these forgotten gems may have rung a long dormant bell, or for younger readers, provided a pop music history lesson.
Here is the complete list, including my favorite lost song of the decade. Thank you for taking this 80's road trip with me ... but it's not over yet! I'll be featuring a new Lost Hit once a week in the Wednesday Briefs, so the history lesson will continue!
Let the countdown commence, and remember ... keep your feet on the ground, and keep reaching for the stars!

I kicked off my recap of The X Factor‘s series premiere with a multiple choice question, so it seems somehow fitting to also begin our discussion of its sophomore outing by asking everyone to get out their No. 2 pencils and grapple with this mind-bender: A mega-hyped talent competition is airing its second episode, and 50 minutes in, the most entertaining aspect is a cellphone ad starring the show’s ornery British judge: How many minutes until you change the channel, or else find yourself mesmerized by a filthy, half-deflated basketball that undoubtedly deserves the Emmy for Outstanding Prop in a Reality Series Backstory?...

Graves' disease, an immune disorder, has been keeping Missy Elliott out of the hip-hop spotlight over the last three years, the singer recently told People magazine.
The Grammy winner was diagnosed with the disease in 2008, after she started experiencing problems with her motor skills, lumps in her throat, hair loss, mood swings, dizzy spells and bulging eyes, People reported.
Elliott underwent radiation treatment and took medication for the disease, and said her thyroid has been functioning properly for the last nine months, according to People.
Graves' disease affects 2-3 percent of the American population (about 10 million people). So it should come as no surprise that Elliot isn’t the first public figure to battle the chronic condition. Olympic medalist Gail Devers, singer Toni Childs, and former President George Bush and First Lady Barbara Bush all have Graves'. Actress Mary-Louise Parker struggles with a similar form of hypothyroidism.

Toni Childs may have earned the mantle of being one of the most feisty, tell-it-like-it-is characters on television, but in real life, actress Jill Marie Jones couldn't be more different from her breakout role on "Girlfriends." Whereas Toni was hungry for status and money, Jill is carefree and down-to-earth. Although many of us may have loved her wardrobe of sleek suits and towering stilettos during her run on the show, off the set, her personal style is far from conservative and label-driven...Here's what you had to say:Shay commented: "She looks so fresh and so clean! I love her... I would like to see her in more movies and shows."...
