The Highway (Ch. 56) is proud to announce The Castellows as the channel’s latest “Highway Find.”
Highway host Buzz Brainard surprised the three sisters from Georgia with the good news this afternoon in the new SiriusXM Nashville studios.
The Castellows — a neo-traditional country music trio comprised of sisters Ellie (lead guitar), Powell (banjo), and Lily (vocals) — join the ranks of previous “Highway Finds” Luke Combs, Gabby Barrett, Dan + Shay, and more. Being named a “Highway Find” has brought early recognition to now-familiar country stars as part of The Highway’s commitment to spotlighting new talent in the genre.
The Castellows wrote/co-wrote six of the seven songs that make up the band’s debut EP, “A Little Goes A Long Way.” They were recently included on multiple 2024 watch lists, including Pandora’s Country Artists to Watch.

Leading up to the Grammy nominations on Nov. 10, Rolling Stone is breaking down 16 different categories. For each, we’re predicting the nominees, as well as who will (and who should) win on Grammy night.
Lainey Wilson won Album of the Year and Female Artist of the Year at the Academy of Country Music Awards in May, and she’s the likely victor in this category. But there are so many strong albums making an impact, it’s hard to say — and the field may be even more crowded. Both Buzz Brainard,...

Leading up to the Grammy nominations on Nov. 10, Rolling Stone is breaking down 16 different categories. For each, we’re predicting the nominees, as well as who will (and who should) win on Grammy night.
The category is about the vocal performance, not the lyrics — which is what makes Chris Stapleton, an eight-time Grammy winner (out of 17 nominations), so hard to beat. But Luke Combs’ performance of “Fast Car” is both faithful and respectful (he doesn’t even try to change the gender of the song’s narrator to his own...

John Mayer writes from the heart.
The 39-year-old singer-songwriter has had his share of romances, and on his new album, The Search for Everything, there’s one song that particularly gets to him.
Exclusive: Andy Cohen Thinks John Mayer's New Music Is About Katy Perry -- 'Doesn't Take a Rocket Scientist'
“Where this song comes in was I was really, really sad, like the kind of sad …everyone’s there once in their lives, hopefully only once,” he told SiriusXM’s Buzz Brainard in a new radio interview on The Highway. “I was sad about everything. And this song idea came to mind, and it was like, ‘Never on the Day You Leave.’ I don’t know where it came from, but I just thought, all at once it came out full-cloth, and the song was written in 20 minutes.”
Though the words came quickly, there was one lyric in the song that really got to Mayer...
