One Chicago has proven to be one of NBC's most durable brands. Three of its shows have recently hit a decade on the air, and the 2025 crossover event proves that there's more demand than ever for stories set in this world. So what happened with Chicago Justice?

The fourth installment in the One Chicago franchise was scrapped after just one season, despite having the same baseline appeal and set as its peers. It even had the benefit of a lead character who had already been established on another show: Antonio Dawson (Jon Seda).

Unfortunately, it did now meet the same success. NBC confirmed the show was not renewed for a second season, chairman Robert Blatt even provided context as to why.

Last season, NBC aired 15 scripted series and, for one reason or another, only nine of them are expected to return this season -- and five of them are produced by Dick Wolf. How many NBC shows will be cancelled or renewed by the end of the 2024-25 TV season? Stay tuned.

Season 5 of ‘Law & Order: Organized Crime’ is just weeks away from its Peacock debut.

The criminal underworld is a dangerous place, as Detective Elliot Stabler knows all too well. Stabler has been taking down some of the most violent criminals in New York City in “Law & Order: Organized Crime” for years, and he’ll do it once again in the show’s fifth season, which comes to Peacock very soon. The show will once again see Stabler try to tackle the Big Apple’s toughest criminal organizations, and we’ll share all the details we have about the new batch of episodes below.

Peacock has shared the teaser trailer, key art and photos for season five of Law & Order: Organized Crime. The 10-episode season will premiere with two episodes on April 17 and then new episodes will debut weekly.

Reprising the role he originated on Law & Order: Svu, Christopher Meloni stars as Det. Elliot Stabler, who returned to New York after a decade abroad to rebuild his life following a devastating personal loss.

As lead detective in Sgt. Ayanna Bell’s (Danielle Moné Truitt) Organized Crime Control Bureau, he works to dismantle New York’s most vicious and violent illegal enterprises while fending off dangers that often follow him home.

Helping to expose the dark and complex criminal world of their targets are undercover expert Bobby Reyes (Rick Gonzalez) and tech genius Jet Slootmaekers (Ainsley Seiger). While on assignment, Stabler leans on his brother Randall (Dean Norris) to keep the Stabler family safe and thriving.

Peacock has slotted April 17 for the Season 5 premiere of Law & Order: Organized Crime, its first season on the streamer following its move from NBC. It will launch with the first two episodes, followed by new episodes weekly.

The Law & Order universe will officially expand to streaming in April.

Peacock has set an April 17 premiere date for season five of Law & Order: Organized Crime, its first since moving from NBC following the end of season four. Two episodes will stream that day, with the remainder of the 10-episode season rolling out weekly.

Organized Crime is the first Law & Order show to air somewhere other than NBC since Criminal Intent moved to USA Network in 2007.

Along with the premiere date, Peacock released a brief teaser (watch it below) and several photos from the coming season. The logline reads, “Season five explores the dangerous worlds of cross-border smuggling, high-tech domestic terrorism and a crime family intent on repaying Stabler (Christopher Meloni) for the injury he did them in Rome. As his worlds collide, Stabler will put everything on the line to protect the vulnerable and fight for justice.

“Law & Order: Organized Crime” officially has a Season 5 premiere date. The series, which officially moved from NBC to Peacock, will debut its first two episodes on April 17, followed by eight new episodes streaming weekly.

Although the show will no longer be on NBC, it will still stream on Thursdays — the same day “Law & Order” and “Law & Order: Svu” air on NBC.

The series follows Christopher Meloni as Det. Elliot Stabler, now running the Organized Crime Control Bureau. Danielle Moné Truitt, Danielle Moné Truitt, Rick Gonzalez, Olivia Thirlby and Ainsley Seiger also star. Dean Norris joined the series in Season 4 as Stabler’s brother.

Christopher Meloni will return as tough NYPD detective Elliot Stabler for Season 5 of “Law & Order: Organized Crime” on April 17, NBC announced on Wednesday.

The Dick Wolf series, which ran for four seasons on NBC, will stream exclusively on the network’s streaming platform Peacock for its fifth season.

In a short teaser trailer, Stabler promises “this fight has only just begun” as we see him wielding a baseball bat, entering a room with gun drawn alongside Sergeant Ayanna Bell (Danielle Moné Truitt) and bracing for impact as a vehicle hurtles towards his car.

The channel’s disappearance will also mean that any titles recorded from it will also be removed.

Each legacy media company is trying to determine the best path forward for their cable channels. NBCUniversal is no different; in November, the company announced plans to spin off nearly all of its cable networks to a separate entity, so it could focus its efforts on building out its streaming service Peacock further. One NBCU cable network won’t make it that far, however; Universal Kids is simply shutting down for good, and will disappear from the airwaves of major live TV streaming services in the coming days.

I absolutely loved “Nosferatu”. It’s everything a horror remake should be - respectful of the original while making its own mark. Bill Skarsgård’s voice as Nosferatu is unreal - guttural, chilling, and completely inhuman. The whole movie is just the right kind of creepy, never leaning on cheap jump scares but instead building tension through eerie visuals, unsettling silence, and incredible performances. Few remakes actually live up to their predecessors, but this one does. And very soon, it’ll be added to my list of best Dracula movies to stream. Figuring you simply can't have too much Chicago in your lineup, the network launched "Chicago Med" the following year.

The 2025 Writers Guild Awards took place Saturday night, with the guild continuing its tradition of doling out prizes in simultaneous ceremonies in New York and Los Angeles.

In the film categories, Anora ultimately took home the award for original screenplay, beating out A Real Pain, Challengers, Civil War and My Old Ass. As for adapted screenplay, Nickel Boys won, beating A Complete Unknown, Dune: Part Two, Hit Man and Wicked.

On the TV side, Shogun won for drama series while Hacks scored the award for comedy series. Shogun‘s “Anjin” also won for episodic drama, and Hacks‘ “Bulletproof” won for episodic comedy. As of this writing, there have been approximately 900,000 episodes of TV to have come out of Dick Wolf's long-running "Law & Order" franchise.
