  • Sound Department
IMDbProStarmeterSee rank
Robert Wald is a native of Los Angeles but, at age ten, moved with his family to Dallas, Texas in 1958. He attended grade school, junior high school and college there, earning a BFA in movie and television production from SMU in 1970. Robert worked for many years in the thriving Dallas motion picture and TV industry of the 70s and 80s, as a cameraman, editor, director, post production sound mixer, and, finally, as a full time production sound mixer.

Before relocating back to Los Angeles in 1989, Robert had completed scores of projects ranging from television commercials to documentaries and industrial films, as well as a long list of TV movies and feature films. He has been nominated for both Emmy and Academy awards. Robert is now retired from sound work and lives with his wife, Suzanne Cranfill, a retired motion picture costume supervisor. They live in Burbank, California. Robert is an experienced helicopter pilot and entrepreneur.
