He acted in the musical, "Top Banana," at the Hanna Theatre in Cleveland, Ohio with Phil Silvers, Kaye Ballard, Jack Albertson, Judy Lynn, Johnny Coy, Joey Faye, Herbie Faye, Walter Dare Wahl, Bradford Hatton, Dick Dana, Johnny Trama, Gloria Smith, George Marci and Flash" Hogan in the cast. Johnny Mercer wrote the music and lyrics. Hy Kraft wrote the book. Jo Mielziner was set designer. Alvin Colt was costume designer. Ron Fletcher was choreographer. Jack Donahue was director. Paula Stone and Mike Sloane were producers.
