A graduate of the University of Texas at Austin film program, I have worked on hundreds of features, television shows, commercials, and music videos in the Set Lighting Department. I joined the IATSE union on my first feature in 1994, becoming a member of the Texas Studio Mechanics Combined Local 484, and joined IATSE Local 728 in 2005, when I moved to Los Angeles where I work entirely in the motion picture industry.
I also have years of experience dealing with asset inventories, project management, and personnel management in the wider world outside of film sets. I worked at a film equipment rental house right out of college for several years; I've also been a Line Producer/Production Coordinator at several production companies doing political advertising, regional commercials, and internet content supervising physical production, editing, casting, and client services. I've been a Media Coordinator at an ad agency that did advocacy marketing with television, radio, the internet and direct mail. I know how to function effectively within an organization, and to manage projects from start to finish.
