It’s been the question on every fan’s mind since The Oval wrapped its fifth season back in March: Who survived that explosive White House shoot-out? We’ll finally get some answers when the Tyler Perry drama returns to BET for Season 6 on Tuesday, Jan. 7 (9/8c), TVLine has learned.

The finale ended with #TeamPOTUS and #TeamFLOTUS meeting under a barrage of bullets in the halls of the White House. At least a dozen key characters — Hunter, Victoria, Jason, Donald, Kyle, Eli, Simone, Sam, Max, Bobby, Richard and Priscilla — could have potentially been caught in the crossfire.

NCIS Origins premiere - October 14

The sixth installment in the NCIS series of shows, Origins, is a prequel that will premiere on October 14. This 13-part series looks at the beginnings of Special Agent Leroy Jethro Gibbs's career.

The Alvarez family is getting back together to support democracy and honor the legacy of Norman Lear.

The Lear-created One Day at a Time cast and executive producers will reunite for a special charity table read of never-before-seen episodes from Season 4 of the Netflix series. All proceeds will go to People For The American Way Foundation, an organization co-founded by Lear that is committed to defending our freedoms.

The comedy series’ former producer, Sandi Hochman, and executive producers, Gloria Calderón Kellett, Mike Royce and Brent Miller are producing the event, which will be held Saturday, October 5 at 2 p.m. at the Saban Media Center in North Hollywood.

Three lost Season 4 episodes of “One Day at a Time” (including what would have been the series finale) will finally see the light of day — via a charity table read for the late Norman Lear’s People For the American Way foundation. The show’s cast and exec producers will reunite to read unproduced scripts on Saturday, Oct. 5 at the TV Academy’s Saban Media Center in North Hollywood.

Proceeds from the event will do to People For the American Way, the org co-founded by Lear that continues to focus on democracy and defending the country’s freedom. The scripts, which were written for “One Day at a Time’s” Season 4 but never produced, are a part of the event, to be produced by “One Day at a Time” exec producers Gloria Calderón Kellett, Mike Royce and Brent Miller, as well as producer Sandi Hochman.

It all begins with the return of The Oval on Tuesday, Oct. 11 (9/8c), TVLine has learned exclusively. The political thriller’s fourth season premiere, ominously titled “The Package,” finds Victoria receiving “disturbing news from the White House doctor concerning Jason,” while Donald “learns Grip is not the indestructible man he thought he was.”

Exclusive: Mark Strong (TÁR), Jahleel Kamara (Nanny), Marvin “Krondon” Jones III (Black Lightning), Natalia Reyes (Terminator: Dark Fate), Yoson An (The Plane) and Ed Quinn (The Oval) have signed on for roles in Lionsgate’s action-thriller Shadow Force, from director Joe Carnahan, which has entered production in Colombia. The actors join an ensemble led by Kerry Washington and Omar Sy, which also includes Da’Vine Joy Randolph and Cliff “Method Man” Smith, as previously announced.

The film penned by Leon Chills and Carnahan follows Kyrah (Washington) and Isaac (Sy), who were once the leaders of a multinational special forces group called Shadow Force. BET has renewed the top-rated Tyler Perry’s The Oval for a fourth season, just ahead of its Season 3 finale, and Tyler Perry’s Sistas for a fifth season. Sistas and The Oval are currently the No. 1 and No. 2 series, respectively, airing on cable with African Americans P2+, per Nielsen.

Executive produced, directed, and written by Perry, The Oval season three averaged 1.3 Million Total viewers Live+3 per episode, and Sistas season four averaged 1.6 Million Total Viewers Live+3 on BET and BET Her every week, according to Nielsen. Production for both series is set to start at Tyler Perry Studios this Spring.
