Beloved Swedish classic novel “The Scarab Flies at Dusk” is being adapted into a premium family adventure series produced by Nordic Drama Queens, the top-notch production label backed by Fifth Season.
Swedish broadcaster Svt has already commissioned the show whose starry cast will be led by Tomas von Brömssen (“My Life as a Dog”), Pernilla August (“‘The Best Intentions”) Dag Malmberg (“The Bridge”) and Lena Endre (“The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo”). Fifth Season is handling worldwide sales on the series and is introducing it to potential buyers attending the Göteborg Film Festival’s TV Drama Vision.
“Afterglow” filmmaker Atle Knudsen will be directing the series, which is penned by celebrated authors Ditta Bongenhielm (“Bonus Family“) and Lovisa Milles (“Jordskott“).

Eddie Murphy will play a cook who is hired by a dying man to prepare meals for his girlfriend and her daughter when he passes in a Us drama to be directed by Bruce Beresford.
The screenplay is by Susan McMartin, an experienced TV writer whose credits include Two and a Half Men, Gary Unmarried, Californication and Another World.
The producer is Lee Nelson, whose credits include the romantic drama Celeste & Jesse Forever and the action-thrillers Chained and Freezer.
Shooting is due to start in New Orleans on November 17. Samuel L. Jackson was originally in talks to play the cook but dropped out due to scheduling conflicts. The other cast isn.t confirmed.

Sonet made a name for itself producing mainstream arthouse features which often appealed to audiences as much as critics.
