Breakthrough Entertainment: Vice-President and General Counsel
As Vice-President and General Counsel, Nghia oversees all aspects of Breakthrough Entertainment's business and legal affairs. In addition, he has served as Co-Executive Producer on projects such as Atomic Betty, for which he received two Gemini Award Nominations.
Nghia brings a breadth of experience in intellectual property, corporate/commercial law and all other elements of entertainment law to the successful operation of the studio's development, production and distribution divisions.
Throughout his 20-year career, he has served as both corporate counsel and production lawyer on numerous television, feature film and digital media projects. A graduate of the University of Victoria (LL.B.) and McGill University (B.Sc.), he was called to the Bars of British Columbia and Manitoba in 1996, and the Bar of Ontario in 2000. He is a member of the ACCT, the Canadian and American Bar Associations, and the Law Societies of B.C., Manitoba and Upper Canada, and has appeared on numerous panels as a guest speaker in the film and television industry.
