- (April 2002) Plays Moricet in "He Hunts" play by Georges Feydeau adapted by Phillip Littell (Geffen Playhouse, Westwood, California, USA).
- (1991) Earned rave reviews and a Drama-Logue Award for his portrayal of Jim Morrison in the stage play, "The Lizard King."
- (2004) The short film, "Get the Dime," written and directed by Nichols is currently in post production.
- (1985) Earned his second LA Weekly and Drama-Logue Awards for the play, "Delirious."
- (1991) Performed "Love Letters" in its initial run at the Canon Theatre in Los Angeles, California.
- (2001) Won a Maddy Award for Excellence in Theatre for his role as Father Sheridan in the American premiere of "The Dead Boy." Playwright Joe Pintaro loosely based this drama on the Covenant House scandal of the 1980s.
- (July 2004) Special performance of "Love Letters" with wife, writer/actress, Lisa Nichols at the Laurelgrove Theatre, Studio City, California.
- (1984) Played Mark in the award winning production of Michael Cristofer's, "The Shadow Box."
- (1982) His portrayal of real-life killer, Donald Bashor in "Pieces of Time" earned him LA Weekly and Drama-Logue Awards. This much lauded drama was directed by the late Robert Guenette.
