Based between Madrid and London, Sam is an Intimacy Coordinator able to support productions internationally across the UK, EU, The Balkans, Australia and beyond. Since her initial training in 2019 with Ita O'Brien (IOS), she certified as IC and trainer through Safe Sets Intimacy Coordinators, (SA/UK) under direct mentorship with Kate Lush.
Sam facilitates for positive risk and efficiency on scenes involving intimacy, nudity, sexual storytelling, LGTBIQA+ themes, simulated non-consensual touch and sexual violence, alongside other hyper-exposed and sensitive scope content. Following her extensive experience on local and international productions, she engages with projects from initial pre-production to final broadcast.
Collaborating on what works best for individual productions, Sam offers practical and dynamic consent and agreement frameworks. She provides all risk mitigation documentation, alongside choreography by request in order to support producer responsibilities, showrunner and director's creative vision, actor advocacy and secure working environments for all cast and crew.
Alongside her IC practitioner focus, Sam's experience spans a 25+ year career as a professional stage and screen actor in Australia, as well as working with hundreds of young actors as an Educator and Director, internationally. Her attention to detail, script analysis skills and expansive knowledge of embodied actor approaches to performance, contribute a practical and creative foundation to exploring secure intimate storytelling with actors and directors.
