Íce Mrozek is an award-winning Los Angeles-based Actor, Writer, Director and Producer and is the co-founder and chief storyteller for Anam Cara Films. Born May 6th in Evergreen Park, Illinois, he is of Irish, Polish, Mexican, and Black ancestry.
Surrounded by the arts from a young age he discovered his love for the theatre in high school and was also influenced by his father, who was passionate about filming home movies.
Íce has worked professionally on stage for over 25 years creating dynamic roles from William Shakespeare to David Mamet. He studied Acting in Dallas at KD Studio Conservatory, Ted Liss Acting Studio in Chicago and with the legendary Acting teacher Uta Hagen, in New York. He is the the founder of IL Teatro and The American Theatre Company.
His feature film directorial debut "About him & her" which is based on a personal true story that takes place in 1989 about a chance connection and is playing the festival circuit in 2022 & 2023 (original working title "Inarticulate Speech Of The Heart") The film has been praised for its innovative concept and unique approach to storytelling.
Following his chosen path, Íce started The Company of Actors, an extraordinary outlet for dedicated actors to hone their craft, he has become one of the most prominent and respected acting coaches in Los Angeles with his unique ability to cultivate depth and authenticity from his students in an environment that is nurturing and inspiring.
Additionally Íce has designed programs geared towards motivating artistic expression and enriching the lives of individuals with physical and intellectual differences through the power of acting and filmmaking.
To give back to the community and help those in need, Íce created The Benevolence Society in 2001, which was renamed The Inspiring Creatives in 2021. He noticed that special needs and underprivileged kids have freedom of imagination and can believe without bounds, making them great actors and storytellers of the world. The beauty of this program is that it changes lives by learning to change one's perspective in today's society.
Íce is developing a limited series and is also in pre-production for his 2nd feature film.
Íce was diagnosed with severe dyslexia in acting school.
