- (November 2, 2007 - December 8, 2008) Stage play, Cloud Nine by Caryl Churchill, playing Harry Bagley/Martin. Directed by Thea Sharrock at the Almeida Theatre, London. Tobias co-starred with James Fleet, Nicola Walker, Sophie Stanton, Bo Poraj, Joanna Scanlan, and Mark Letheren.
- (February 13, 2016 - March 26, 2016) Stage Play: Uncle Vanya by Anton Chekhov. Tobias portrayed Dr. Michael Astrov. Robert Icke directed the production at the Almeida, London with Jessica Brown Findlay, Vanessa Kirby, Richard Lumsden, Hilton McRae, Ann Queensberry, Paul Rhys, and Susan Wooldridge.

- (2005) Tobias was one of the leads in the acclaimed production of The History Boys, directed by Nicholas Hytner at the Royal National Theatre, London. The cast also included the late Richard Griffiths, Rudi Dharmalingam, Andrew Knott, Jamie Parker, Clive Merrison, Colin Haigh, Pamela Merrick, Joseph Attenborough
