Maureen was born in Los Angeles, CA. Inspired by her filmmaker father, John C. Mahon, who taught Film Production at UCLA and NYU, Maureen attended TV production courses at UCLA extension. Her brother, Richard Mahon, an artist and visual effects matte painter, was a huge influence on Maureen in the area of visual art. She merged her love for musical theatre, art and film/TV production while studying and touring with renown performance artist, Rachel Rosenthal. Maureen also studied improvisation with Second City and The Groundlings and sang in many rock and jazz/cabaret bands, most notably, The Vicious Circle with Cheche Alara, Jon Button and Dave Allen. Maureen worked for many years in entertainment law firms, notably, Gang, Tyre, Ramer & Brown, Inc., and in Business Affairs at The Samuel Goldwyn Company and New Line Cinema. She took a career detour for many years as an interior designer and was a designer on "House Hunters Renovation."
