U Turn is a multiple times remade film with now being Bollywood's turn to remake it after 2018 Samantha's remake. The original came out in 2016.
I didn't understand why this film was remade so many times ? Is the original material way better than what i watched? Does it have better covering of suspense? Could be...need to watch the original to confirm but the Hindi remake version of U Turn was super super super predictable from almost a light years away from the climax. Just 25 mins into the film i could say how people who violated the U Turn rule got killed . In fact i could even predict who the culprit was after the jail killing sequence.
In between the film desperately tries to infuse some horror elements to try divert you from what you predicted but knowing that this is not a horror suspense, such an attempt is futile and that i already knew there would be an explanation in the climax as to how the paranormal stuff was happening with the rule violators .
The only suspense which i felt was hidden well was who actually created that one accident which is shown right at the start. It's only revealed at the very end but that too is revealed in a very unconvincing way like as if it was just appended to the end without any effort .
Everyone is wasted here . Good talents like Priyanshu and Aleya all are wasted although I would say Priyanshu did look good in some parts. The film could have been better if there was some emotional angle developed between the culprit and their deceased family .
Luckily there are no songs and the film is not very long but knowing the facts from far off, you just wish the end come faster .
Overall, it's a predictable film that suspense thriller lovers will definitely not like.
