On paper this is a hit show, but I'm sad to say the stringing out of the most basic storyline is really starting to drag. I'm not saying nothing happens in the episode, but relatively little and at such a slow pace.
When writing a story like this you have a choice to go for fast-paced thriller or enigmatic pull-you-in mystery, they've opted for the latter without doing remotely enough to actually pull-you-in so you can't wait for the next episode.
It's kind of a drama mystery in that sense, when most viewers (seasoned on programmes such as Black Mirror and Squid Game) would expect something a bit less dry.
We now know the first two episodes were not exceptions and can only look to the director and writer for dropping the ball here.
Sunny still has promise, but so far it's been nowhere near as good as it should.
