Commentaire à la une
Savanna Samson made a lot of money for Vivid in the label's years preceding its precipitous decline, and this typically gonzo B. Skow junker shows the effects of taking her away from stories & characterizations to sub-Max Hardcore level horsing around.
It has a purported story line, something in the David Stanley realm but credited to one Meat Head (no, not the director of "A Few Good Men"), that presages an overstuffed stinker from Wicked Pictures by Brad Armstrong (starring Jessica Drake) titled "Underworld".
It's a dumb premise of Savanna on an operating table, fantasizing all sorts of sex in the 59 seconds (typically stretched to several hours by Skow) while her life hangs in the balance. Armstrong used this dumb gimmick for fanciful and expensive sets and stagings, while Skow goes cheapie.
Makeup man Lee Garland hams it up as Gabriel, the religious reference to him guiding her through this nonsense a la a Guardian Angel. The sex scenes are as stupid as they are gonzo, so S.S. can give us some d.p.'s and the once bastion of safe sex Vivid Entertainment can go bareback, just like in the early '90s before the pornographers there got religion.
It's all terrible. For the record, I also suffered through an identical loser directed by David Stanley as a vehicle for Kira Kener titled "Breathe", in which she's giving birth to a baby, also potentially dying (like the movie) on the operating table.
