[About life in Germany] It was very safe, but strict. I grew up on a ranch with no TV. I had the best childhood a kid could have. Schools are high pressure in Germany, with very high standards. Everyone is expected to go from high school to college, to University. Dropping out is considered professional suicide. In the U.S., even without college you can become a multimillionaire. That is hardly the case in Germany.
