For about 10 years or so, The company Gametek owned the rights to the gameshows Merv griffin produced. Wheel of fortune and jeopardy. they created games that spanned from the 3rd generation of systems, to the 5th, creating games for NES, SNES, Sega Genesis, Playstation, and Nintendo 64, before their bankruptcy claim in 1997. However, the Jeopardy thing was not first made by Gametek...in 1984, colecovision and a few other 2nd generation systems had a jeopardy game. but then, Gametek took the wheel (no pun intended) and made the wheel of fortune and jeopardy games for NES, 4 games for each series.
By 1998, Gametek released the N64 version of Jeopardy...and it was bad.
It's just like any other jeopardy video game, but this one had worse gameplay, the questions were harder, the timer was too fast, and the full-motion video of Alex trebek explaining the game was just an example of why gametek went under the same year. (Gametek went bankrupt in 1997, but the deal was sealed in July of 1998.) It's not worth it to purchase this for N64, due to the fact that i couldn't sit through a whole game, and it seems that every jeopardy game i play made before 2000 is creepier than hell. super jeopardy for NES was the worst, but jeopardy for SNES was really a creeper. i gotta review those sometime.
