- Anti-racism expert Jane Elliott leads her renowned workshop in discrimination in this documentary that challenges Canadian attitudes towards Native Canadians and exposes systematic racism in Canada. Jane Elliott divides the 22 Canadians attending the workshop into two groups - the "blue eyes" and the "brown eyes" - and then discriminates against the blue eyes, thus creating a microcosm of society which teaches the blue eyes what it is like to be a target of discrimination. The intensity of the situation and the confrontational techniques force the participants to re-evaluate their behavior and to examine new ways to interact.

- The ten month long winter is ending in the estuary of the Churchill River and in the waters of the great inland sea called Hudson Bay. Huge hunks of ice melt, break apart and float in and out of the river estuary. As they do, 1500-kilogram beluga whales join the icy parade into the fresh water basin, which fills with as many as 2800 whales on a single day. Boatloads of tourists follow the whales back and forth along the length of the estuary. They watch as the belugas feed, molt old skin and swim with their newborn. And with equal curiosity, the whales come alongside the tour boats to examine the humans. These gentle, intelligent creatures take great interest in our tiny underwater cameras and microphones, providing us with extraordinary glimpses into their lives and with the spectacular sounds of their communication with each other, and sonar investigations of the world around them. It's a voyage of mutual discovery in this Time and Place.
- Jacqueline is lively and fun-she works hard and plays hard. She's moved into her first condo and admits she's design-challenged. By day she works in marketing, by night she is the captain of her dodge ball team. After games, she entertains the whole team in her small living area. Jacqueline has a very traditional Chinese mother who would like to see her decorate using Chinese furnishings. Paying respect to her mother and her heritage, the Designer Guys show Jacqueline how to add some Asian touches while still keeping her contemporary style. On a limited budget, the Guys transform this no-personality space into one that reflects the dynamic personality of the homeowner.
- Jennifer and Conrad have four kids with a wide gap in ages that create very different play demands. The two girls, ages 10 and 12, need a place to entertain friends. The boys, ages 2 and 3, need a safe place to tumble and romp. The parents need a place to relax. The Designer Guys are up to the challenge of transforming this outdated suburban basement-with ugly wood paneling and red shag carpet on the wall-into a cozy and modern haven for the entire family to enjoy.
