- In 1888, in London, a prostitute is slaughtered on the street. The Scotland Yard Chief Inspector Jim Hansen is in charge of the investigation and realizes that the killer is a person with skill in dissection. Hansen belongs to the lower class and aspires to socially climb. Soon there are other murders and the ex-prostitute Florry Lewis witnesses the killer killing a prostitute and is forced to go to the precinct to provide a lead to the Scotland Yard. Inspector Hansen assigns Sgt. Tommy Bell to protect Florry and he investigates the murder cases. Prince Albert Victor, who is the heir of the throne of England, becomes his prime suspect but his chief Sir Charles Warren tells that they need to have strong evidence against the prince to proceed with the case. Sir Charles decides to use Florry as bait but Inspector Hansen has fallen in love with her and objects. But his chief makes clear that this is the only way to stop the ripper. What will Inspector Hansen do?
- Marshal Stone finds a burned house with bodies of a man and a woman who have been burned and shot. He suspects an Arapaho brave as being responsible. The Silver City council votes to call in the Army to handle the situation as they fear another attack, although Marshal Stone suspects this is not an Indian uprising but something more personal between the killer and the victims.
- Arthur Wanamaker, a land baron based in Denver, is going home by train and when he arrives he is found dead. And a man who works in one of his mines is found with him. Jared Stone, the Marshall goes there and takes the man in. Everyone wants to hang the man but Stone wants to investigate. Stone is informed that because Wanamaker was killed while on a train, the railroad deems it as their concern so they send a Pinkerton Detective, Lattimer Finch to investigate. And he uses new methods to help find out what happened like finger printing and forensic medicine. Stone learns Wanamaker was a troubled man and there are other people who wanted him dead.
- A guy sneaks a bomb onto a freight train to avoid a couple thousand dollars and that train turns into a runaway train that loses its breaks and is headed for Denver, Colorado. John Seger, an NTSB agent, gets on board the train trying different ways to stop it. Meanwhile Denver is in chaos as people are breaking into stores, stealing TVs and heading to Kansas. John Seger is on the runaway trying to beat the crap out of the inside of engine. Wally, the engineer of train, tries the brakes at the same time, and the reason they're doing that is because on Jackson Summit a huge grade up-hill and the train slows down, but a train from behind smashes into the caboose assuming the runaway is going fast and derails the caboose. John Seger tells Wally to get off the train, and they jump off before the train picks up too much speed. By now the runaway is less than 20 miles away from Miller's Bend. They're sure it's gonna derail there then the train derails and now John Seger and N.E.S.T. (Nuclear Emergency Search Team) try to lift the bomb out of the box car. John Seger and everybody else leaves the area, but someone in the N.E.S.T. group decides to stay. He plans to disarm the bomb. They called all nearby people with helicopters to splash fire retardant on it but someone drops water on it the chemicals react and the bomb explodes.
