- A new adaptation of the classic novel "The Darling Buds of May" by H.E. Bates, following the warm-hearted, wheeler-dealing adventures of the iconic Larkin family in the idyllic Kent countryside.

Meanwhile Neil and Kelly embrace what was broadcast and pretend that they're lottery winners. A persistent Maggie refuses to leave Carol's surgery and ends up discovering the real story of the doctor's marriage. Maggie feeling more positive about everything until Jill visits later that evening.
- Maggie visits Kelly's salon which leads to Kelly and her husband Neil taking action over their 'lottery win'. At the school, Peter is jittery because of the press interest from Maggie's interview. Alex is surprised at work by two visitors.

Maggie and Peter turn up just as a big family secret is publicly revealed.
- Maggie needs time alone and heads to the pub to get a room and ends up finding out landlord Brian's story. Whilst staying late at work, Karen makes a shocking admission to Peter. A desperate Alex terrifies Roxanna and Josh.
- Maggie is only concerned with re-uniting with her own family and heads to the celebrations with Becka to meet them. As all the villagers gather for the fete, a sudden shocking series of events are put in motion that could potentially cost the life of one beloved character and change everyone else's in Thurlbury forever.
- For Alice, Harry and their daughter, Charlotte, moving into their new home should have been a dream come true. But it quickly turns into a nightmare when Alice discovers Harry dead at the bottom of the stairs.
