Rice, Rice Baby!

Philip Humber
Philip Humber scattered five hits for the Owls on Monday.

The long wait is over. Rice, which opened its doors in 1912, finally has a national title. An Owl team known for great pitching and timely hitting got both in Monday's 14-2 title-clinching win over Stanford, writes ESPN.com's Wayne Drehs. Philip Humber dominated the Cardinal's bats in the most lopsided final ever.
