No one but the most optimistic of us thought that the Lady Hokies would go to Atlanta and take on the undefeated 13th ranked Lady Yellow Jackets and take a ranked win from them in their house. Well, this team didn’t listen to those vibes in the air. It was another road comeback plus. GO HOKIES!!!!
That was a wild one! Carys Baker leads the way with the big trey! The team gets control of the turnover situation, and when the balls weren’t falling in the buckets the defense kept Miami within range. But overcoming the 3rd quarter 12-point deficit was pure determination. GO HOKIES!!!!
It was a brutally tough game in Cassell. FSU pressed the entire game, and the Lady Hokies just couldn’t get consistent stops. Turnovers and FSU points off of them made the difference in this one. Lessons to learn. GO HOKIES!!!
It’s the last preview of the 2024 season, and it’s actually 2025. Several changes and lots of portal and sit-out losses make it a tough call for the Hokies. Bud Foster’s going to be on the microphone and headset for this one for the defense. Take the poll, hazard a guess. GO HOKIES!!!
No, the bowl game hasn’t been played, so technically the season isn’t over, but in reality, the season is over, and it’s time to review the major issues facing the Hokies for 2025. Lots of changes already in the works, but let's look at the general issues. GO HOKIES!!!
As 2024 and the non-conference schedule comes to a close it’s critical for the sake of momentum and depth to get a door closing win with the bench emptying. The Lady Hokies managed that well on Saturday. Carys Baker gets a double-double in the books. Matilda Ekh leads with 15, Mackie Nelson had 14, with Rose Micheaux getting back in double figures with 10.
