I hope BC realizes this team has a legitimate shot at making the playoffs and as such gets some hitting help. I'd like to see another OF picked up. Rum Bunter has review a number of players they think could help. My choice would be Brent Rooker (A's). Rooker is DH/OF batting .291 with 21 HR yielding 3.1 WAR. He is 29 being arbitration eligible in 2025 and not a FA until 2028. He would cost us at least one of our SP prospects and maybe a SS. He plays the OF but is not the best.

I like this move because it helps us now and also for a few years. Yes BC could go for a rental but that only gives a boost for this season. I'd rather BC make a bolder move that will help us past this season.
