What I saw this year.

It began in spring training. The Tigers won 20 games. We won many games late. This means that our young guys are much better than before and better than our rivals.. We also looked good on the back lots where the a, aa and aaa games are played.

This is a dramatic change from years past. This was the the best they had looked (depth wise) in all my time coming to Lakeland. 2002-2024.

they got off to a hot start. Then the collapse which coincided with Greene and Carpenters injuries. June and July saw a lot of losses. The key point from my perspective was that they kept the games close. Rarely did they get blown out.

The late season surge was fun. The exhibition games against Houston and Cleveland were fun to watch.

Reality check. We are now in the top 1/3 of teams in the AL. 7 1/2 games out of first place and a spot among the top 3 teams in the AL. We are more than a RH bat and Starting pitcher away from being there.

I hope that harris and Company continues the incremental improvement path they have been following.

I like what I am seeing.
