Well, the Jones haters got what they wanted. I believe he will excel elsewhere. However, do consider the pressure Scheon put on him by signing him to a massive contract and not signing Barkley - what a move.
It is amazing to me some on this site still want the GM and coach to be around next year. I think you will get what you deserve! This is professional football, big pant stuff, and they have both failed massively.....and yet people still believe? A playoff run on a weak schedule and then beat Minnesota at their home in a playoff game....Minnesota being Minnesota, whatever. No offensive line the next year, Jones gets slaughtered. This year a major gaff by not signing Barkley -THE No. 1 back in the NFL presently, who leaps tall buildings backward....Jones has one receiver and lot of rookie errors - highlighted by a 2 point effort and a no- kicker scenero in Week 3 with Washington (should have won as the kicker missed a couple of field goals) and weak but better o-line. The locker room had/has to be thinking twice about Daboll on the kicker and 2 point thing -TOTALLY NOT PREPARED - but bring him back is the refrain? You can't criticize the defence because they are forced to play 'extra plays' every game -it wears them down.
The drafts have been inconsquential but for Nabers.....how long can you praise Thibox? Burns seems to be a gamer - which game are you going to get, though - but Lawrence and Okereke are tremendous.
Should have beat Washington - no kicker, and but for dropped balls and x2 deflected picks, we should have beat Carolina, so 4-5 with any other coach...with Barkley...?
Jones will show you under a different coach what a winner he can be. In the meantime, enjoy the the Buffo brothers and their headmaster of leadership, Mara.
Am out from under the WORST organization in PROFESSIONAL football....with no light in the future unless a coach arrives who can also where a GM hat!
Smell ya.
