I'm curious... How many of us here were born into UA fandom? How many of us converted as we got older? I'd love to hear the stories...

Here is mine:

As my name suggests, I am new to the state of Arizona. I moved to Chandler in January of 2018 from the great state of Utah. I was born and raised in a town of about 400 people roughly 2 hours south of Salt Lake City. Growing up, for whatever reason, I always liked cheering for the opposition of my Dad''s favorite team. My dad is a die-hard BYU season ticket holder, and what better team to align myself with than their bitter rivals, Utah.

When I first arrived in Arizona, and working roughly 15 minutes away from Scum Devil Stadium, I thought maybe I could bring myself to root for them.. As any self respecting individual would do, I quickly dismissed that idea due to the nauseating idea of aligning myself with such a deplorable place.

Time went on, and I started studying more and more about the UofA, it's history, and it's vision for the future. The more I studied, the more I gravitated in this direction. After visiting Tucson, visiting the campus, and seeing Arizona Stadium, I knew I had found my new home. I fell in love with the people, the city, and the university.

I am looking forward to my maiden voyage to watch a game live in September as Arizona goes up against my alma mater, Southern Utah University.
