Long time Chiefs fan

Yes I will support the Chiefs as long as I am able too. I became a fan when they moved to KC because I was tired of watching the Packers and Colts which were the only teams available on local tv. Bought season tickets in '68 and had them through the good and bad. When they moved to Arrowhead I had a pretty low number because I bought from a co-worker who had them for several years. I expected to get a pretty good seat but when I went to pick my seats the best seat available were in the last row of the lower deck in the pie where the players come out. This was because all the sponsors got to buy like 10 seats for every 1 they had. Well this provided the Chiefs with a full house of fans that were mostly people who knew little about football and when the team declined so dii the attendance. The last year I had tickets I was able to set in the next to last row on the 50 yard line. What's my point?

I am retired and still love the Chiefs and what they have provided this city but what is going to happen to the fans that have had tickets for years when they move to Kansas. Will your 50 yard ticket end up in the upper deck in the end zone because some new advertiser is now able to buy 10 for 1 tickets.

Also the new Royals owner has wanted to move downtown since he bought the team and a stadium with a view of the city is not downtown. Think of the stadiums that that are in the West bottoms and how they did (ie. Kemper). They had a chance to build it where the stadiums are now with no parking or transportation issues. Because Kemper put up money to save the American Royal, they built it in the bottoms and look what that got us. Some people just want everything new like the Jones's and a small market city is not Dallas.

Lastly I grew up right across from Arrowhead long before it came to be and when my parents were pitched to sale, the city councilman, who was handling the sale to Standard Oil, brought the plans to show them. Jackson County did not deliver on the promise in more areas then the roof. Consequently the area was never developed and only became a destination to go for sports.

Will I follow the Chiefs where ever the go? I watch a quarter of a game every night before going to sleep. GOOO CHIEFS!
