The NFL trade dealine is in 40 days which is less than 6 weeks. The Bengals have lost at home to two of the 3 worst teams in the NFL last season. If we lose Saturday, it would be the rare trifecta of losing to the 3 worst teams from the prior season. This is a list of the most valuable UFAs after this season.

Offense - Higgins, Gesicki

Defense - Hill, Hilton, Davis-Gather, Bell

In the coming weeks, if it is obvious we are out of the playoff picture (it may already be obvious to some), the Bengals need to get value for those players while finding out which youngsters have a future. I hate trading Hilton and Bell, but we need to see if Newton, Battle, Hill and Anthony have future roles.

Higgins and Gesicki are no brainers to trade IMO. Burton can play and the Bengals have plenty of depth at WR. Erick All is the real deal and the Bengals have Sample, Hudson and McLachlan as additional TEs.

The following teams need WRs - Falcons, Bills, Broncos, Lions, Chargers, Patriots, Saints, Washington and all three teams in our division which I will exclude because I don't see the Bengals trading Higgins interdivision.

The following teams need a TE - Panthers, Colts, Jets, Titans

Even if Higgins only fetches a 3rd, you save $10mm this season and you get draft comp in 2025 instead of in 2026. The Jets have 8 draft picks and need a TE. They have two 3rds and a 4th round pick and they are in win now. Would they be willing to trade?
