According to statistics, we play better away than we do at home (makes no sense). Our offense has also outperformed opposing offense on every statistic and tied for 3D Conv %. The statistics below tell more of the story. We all know we have no defense, but the biggest gap outside of this seems to be Rush Play % and Yds/Game alongside missed FG opportunities.

Not penalties.

Outside of statistics, the concerns that are plaguing are season:

  1. Inconsistent Play and Injuries: Beyond Burrow, the team has been hit with injuries, especially on defense. Defensive struggles have been noticeable, and missing key players has limited the Bengals' ability to close out games. Their Week 5 loss to the Ravens in overtime highlighted these defensive issues.

  2. Coaching and Play-calling Concerns: Head coach Zac Taylor has faced criticism for some questionable decision-making and play-calling. After the loss to the Ravens, there was open dissatisfaction from players regarding the conservative calls late in games, and Taylor himself admitted to not putting the team in the best position to win.
