My lovely mother needs some extra help in the afternoons to maintain her independence at home in the Knocknacarra area of Galway City. The main tasks she needs help with are: Light Housekeeping - Keeping the floors and surfaces clean in the kitchen, bathroom and hallway downstairs. Sweeping/ Hoovering/ Mopping. Meal Prep - She still likes to prepare her own meals but is starting to need a hand with this to maintain good nutrition. Groceries/ Errands - just keeping things stocked up at home. There are several supermarkets and other shops within walking distance. Laundry - loading and unloading the washer and dryer; folding clothes; ironing for one person. Companionship - it would be great if you also enjoy a chat and maybe even a stroll outside! It’s a bonus if you would be able to drive her to occasional appointments once or twice a month. We can be somewhat flexible on days/ hours for someone with whom she gets on well. We look forward to hearing from you!
