I have over 7 years of tutoring experience, specializing in all levels of math. I have taught K-12, all algebra levels, pre-algebra, precalculus, geometry, and AP Calculus. My degrees are in mathematics and computer science from the University of South Carolina Honors College.
I currently work as a Math Instructor at Art ofProblem Solving Academy, where I teach full classrooms of 16 students.
English wasn't my first language, so I was challenged in school growing up. Tutoring is a passion of mine because I know how it feels to struggle, and I want to help my students enjoy learning and become confident in their abilities.
I also have a talent for test prep tutoring, being a National Merit Scholar. I was able to help increase student scores in the hundreds for the SAT and 5-6 cumulative points on average for the ACT, with higher scores depending on the frequency and length of working with these students....
I am currently a student at the University of Dallas studying Education and Theology. I have been tutoring elementary age students for 2 years in multiple subjects. My love for working with students lead me to teach full-time last summer! I love fostering a love of learning with my students and seeing their individual growth. Ihave taken numerous elementary education courses at my University, as well as independently researched renowned teaching techniques/philosophies such "Love and Logic."
