Vlogbrothers rewatch, Day 23: January 31

We have made it, friends. One full month (of Vlogbrothers videos) down. January 2007 is just about over. February 2007 is upon us, and with that we will start to see a shift in how these videos are titled. (Eventually, they will do away with including the date in the video titles altogether.)

But for now, it's January 31, and this is Vlogbrothers Rewatch -- where I watch every Vlogbrothers video in order from the very beginning (using this playlist), once per day, and write about it. What an ... interesting video we have to talk about today.

Okay, so it's mostly the video's "special features" (today we would call it a post-credit scene since it appears after the Brotherhood 2.0 logo comes up at the end) that are interesting. Just look at the comments for the nickname this earned him for a while; I won't repeat it here. I'm not judging, it just might not be your thing, and that's OK.

I'm almost sad to report that I remember both which punishment John ends up choosing and the iconic video in which he performs said punishment (but I won't spoil it for you if you're a first-time watcher and following along with me). I have loved watching many of these videos as if I were seeing them for the very first time again.

But we are getting to a point where I'm going to start remembering more of what I am seeing. That will offer plenty of opportunities for reflection, of course. Some of these videos I saw for the first time when I did a full rewatch in 2015, but many I saw as they were published in the late 2000s. Seeing those again is going to be a treat. But I think we have just a little more time before I start remembering.
