Dependence of Crosstalk Increase due to Tight Bend on Core Layout of Multi-Core Fiber

Abstract

Dependence of the tight-bend-induced crosstalk increase on the core layout is experimentally investigated. The crosstalk increase exponentially decreases with the core-to-core distance increase, and depends on the positions of excited and coupled cores.
