Published: 20 November 2023 Publication History

Abstract

Digital transformation is causing several changes in organizations through the adoption of digital technologies. In this context, the Brazilian Judiciary launched a program called Justice 4.0, which aims to develop a series of initiatives to promote digital transformation in courts. To identify opportunities for digital transformation in a state court, this research presents a diagnosis of work routines based on a survey with 252 managers. The results indicated that there is a difference in the responses according to the area of activity, and suggest that there are opportunities for digital transformation involving automation of telephone answering activities, face-to-face assistance and involving complex activities. This research contributes by providing a diagnosis of the state court's activities from the perspective of managers and by helping to identify opportunities for digital transformation in the institution, serving as a basis for future research involving the Brazilian Judiciary.
