Celtic are in a great position right now and look set to challenge for another treble. They are three ponts clear at the top of the Premiership, and eleven ahead of the Rangers. The two Glasgow sides will also meet in the final of the Scottish League Cup next month. And Brendan Rodgers' side have shown significant improvement in Europe as well. After four games, they have seven points in the Champions League.

On the other hand, it would be safe to say that things are not going well for the Rangers. Many cannot be blamed for wondering how Philippe Clement remains in charge of the side despite the start they have made to the season.

We have seen the likes of Giovanni van Bronckhorst and Mick Beale being shown the exit door for less. Of course, the decision to hand Clement a long-term extension just a few months earlier makes it more difficult for the Rangers to sack him.

That has not stopped them from being linked with a variety of managers though. The latest on that list is the name of Graham Potter.

If there is one thing that we learned from Potter's run as Chelsea manager, it was about his inability to deliver under pressure. He took a team that was winning trophies on a consistent basis and guided them to their worst season in this century.

Do not be mistaken, the pressure to deliver might be even higher at Ibrox right now. They have parted with one manager after the other in recent years. The club need to get their next appointment right.

Potter had a perfectly good run at Brighton & Hove Albion. But resources will be even scarcer at Ibrox and the pressure to win a lot higher. Does the Englishman have what it takes to catch Celtic?
