Polarclaw was one of the many prisoners aboard the Alchemor. When the ship crash-landed on Earth, Polarclaw made his way up to the Arctic Circle, and holed up in a mountain cave near a research base. Eventually, Bumblebee's team picked up his signal, and dispatched an away team of Autobots—Optimus Prime, Drift, Windblade, Slipstream, and Jetstorm—to bring him in. Polarclaw managed to get the drop on the team, and pelted them with chunks of ice from above. Overloaded, Part 1
After seeing the Autobots off by using his sonic roar to start an avalanche, Polarclaw returned to his cave, only for the Autobots to sneak up on him in new camouflage. He escaped via the back exit to the cave and began to escape across the ice using his snowplow alternate mode. Unfortunately for him, Windblade caught up with him and managed to force him back into the water. Polarclaw quickly found he was unable to use his sonic roar underwater, and was punched out by Optimus. The Autobots took him off to one of Windblade's stasis pod caches. Overloaded, Part 2
Polarclaw's stasis pod was later taken back to Cybertron by Optimus Prime, Windblade and Ratchet. Decepticon Island (Part 2)
